MARIA REBECCA BALLESTRA
JULIEN FRIEDLER

PALAZZO MOLIN DEL CUORIDORO
Frezzaria
San Marco 1823
30124 Venice
OPENING 24TH SEPTEMBER
UNTIL 31ST OCTOBER

Palazzo Molin is hosting an art exhibition in their Lombardo Piano Nobile apartment until the end of October. Visiting the exhibition gives you a great opportunity to see some inspiring artwork and take a look at the restoration of the palazzo which was recently finished. Palazzo Molin is an award-winning residential development in San Marco with several apartments, including the Lombardo Piano Nobile, currently for sale.

The artists featured in the exhibition are Maria Rebecca Ballestra and Julien Friedler.

The collection by Maria Rebecca Ballestra is taken from Journey into Fragility, her two-year project aiming to raise awareness around the fragility of our environment. Inspired by the renowned Italian poet Massimo Morasso’s work from 2001: Arenzano Manifesto for Earth and the Human Beings, which is composed of twelve proactive statements aimed at reframing and reversing the environmental crisis, Journey into Fragility encompasses twelve steps carried out in twelve countries on four continents. On display in this exhibition are works from several of these locations.

A leading figure in the visual art movement Be Boz Be Art, Julien Friedler’s work is influenced by his career as a psychoanalyst and writer. Through contemporary art, the Belgium-born philosopher explores the shortcomings and future prospects of modernity. The large canvases are imposing even in the impressive space of the piano nobile and have a meditative quality of repeated patterns and motifs. There are also intricately detailed works in Murano glass.

The exhibition closes on Saturday 31st October.
